First Swim

Last week it warmed up really nice, even warm enough to break out the pool.  The water coming out of the hose is frigid though.  Josiah was the only brave one to submerge himself in the pool. Paul tried to get in, but sort of fell in and freaked out when the ice cold water hit his arms! They had a great time despite the cold water. Josiah said it was "The best day ever!"  

Paul loves water and enjoyed pouring water into buckets and dumping them all over the yard. He would get really mad and scream, though, every time Josiah would run and jump into the pool and the cold water would splash on him.  

Some neighbor kids also came over and I set up the sprinkler for them to run under.  Josiah was in heaven with his "best friends" over.  haha.  Anyone who plays with him is his best friend!  Paul was content to play with the hose and throw toys in the pool.  We had such a fun day!  

WHOA that water is COLD!!!

Paul would get really wet then run over to me and want to be wrapped up in the towel.  He would sit in the chair sunbathing and watch Josiah then go back out, just to get wet again! 

The simple things in life like a warm, sunny day, a small pool of water, a sprinkler, buckets, watering cans, lots of laughing, and fish sticks for lunch really are wonderful memory makers. Thank you Lord for SUMMER!
