This past Sunday was Justin's 29th birthday! It is hard to believe, but we met 9 years ago this summer... wow! Justin's mom and step-dad came to visit this weekend and we had a wonderful time. We drove to Wyoming on Saturday to see Devil's Tower, a very unusual rock formation jutting out of the ground. The rocks on the tower grow vertical. It's pretty neat! There is a trail that you can walk all the way around it. We had a picnic and enjoyed the sunny 75 degree weather.
On Sunday we celebrated Justin's birthday. I made him a cake, although it wasn't very pretty, it tasted good! Our friends from church that morning stayed for lunch, then we gorged ourselves on cake and ice cream. Afterwards we drove to Custer State Park to a lake and Craig and Justin did some fly fishing. Josiah, Cynthia, and I walked around, and Josiah eventually got sopping wet because he decided he wanted to play in the water. He enjoyed it very much! The guys only caught a few small fish, but had a fun time anyway!
Please tell Justin that we apologize for missing his birthday. Jennifer, you are not really getting old until the memory goes.....
