{Christmas at our home}

Merry Christmas!

I hope you all had a nice time with your families.

This year was our first year to be home, just our family, on Christmas. It has been so nice not having to travel this past week. We started the week by serving coffee, hot chocolate, and apple cider to mall shoppers every evening from 6-8pm. We had a nice time talking to people who stopped by and sharing a little of Christ's love through a hot drink, a smile, and a candy cane.

It also snowed this week so Justin and Josiah got outside to play a little. It is cold! Since Thursday there has been a 1/2 inch of solid ice on everything. Early Thursday morning we had freezing rain and it has not melted. It's like a frozen tundra. The roads are fine, now, since they sand and plow them. It's nothing like the south if there is ice. People are much more prepared up here!

Josiah and I made sugar cookies to decorate. He helped with the entire process. We made the cookies from scratch and he loved dumping everything in and turning the mixer on. He even cracked the eggs! He loves to help in the kitchen.

My Grandma gave me a bunch of old cookie cutters and we used them all! We had cookies that looked like dinosaurs, dogs, angels, gingerbread men, stars, and the infamous "Daddy" Cookie (as seen below). Josiah thought that particular cookie cutter looked like Daddy. He loved decorating it! Justin said it looked like a rabbit pooped on his foot.

Josiah put sprinkles on every cookie, that was his favorite part!

Christmas Eve Service.

Over 100 people there, we had to drag out chairs from our children's room!

Several first time visitors. Several families that we met throughout the week. People from all walks of life. Pray that the message of Christ would resonate with those who did not know Him.

A wonderful time of celebration of our Savior!

After the Christmas Eve service, we got home and let the boys open 1 present. Josiah got a remote control car from us. He and Justin had a good time with it! I should have gotten Justin one too.... :)

now I have to finish off half of a chocolate pie tonight because tomorrow we return to our homeland of Texas, and someone's got to eat the pie, it cannot go to waste... it's too good. Too bad I'm the only one still up. :-)
