New Things She is Doing:
- Leah is busy busy busy!
- She's scooting around backwards, and rolling all over the place. She rolls to get where she wants to go. She can get up on all fours and rock back and forth, but can't quite get the hands moving forward to crawl yet.
- She can almost sit up on her own. If she gets excited she looses her balance and falls over.
- She can now bend over and put her feet in her mouth or put them in her mouth while laying on her back.
- Can toot as loud or louder than Josiah. It is impressive. She ranks high on Josiah's list of "amazing people" because of this ability.
- Squeals with delight so loudly! She has a high-pitched vocal range.
- Sitting in a high chair now and gnaws on a sippy cup during dinner.
- Sticking out her tongue and spitting bubbles.
- Grabbing everything, sooo soo wiggly, and kicks her legs and loves to jump!
- She'd probably be eating baby food by now, but I haven't given her any because I nearly forgot she was 6 months old!
Stats:
Weighs: 18 lbs 2oz (carrying most of the pounds in her chunky bottom!)
Height: 26.75 inches
Size 3 diapers, but almost a size 4 (same size as Paul!!)
Clothes are 6-9month sizes
Typical day:
She wakes up around 8:30am, plays, eats, plays. Naps once in the morning, once after lunch, and once in the evening. She plays on the floor, usually takes a big poo while happily jumping away in her jumperoo, is thoroughly entertained by her brothers, goes outside, gnaws on books, cars, and trains, rides around a lot on mommy's hip, and laughs mostly all day. She goes to bed around 8:30-9pm, wakes 1-3 times to eat, and goes right back to sleep. She's happy unless tired or hungry, or mommy goes out of the room and she looses sight of me!
Leah is such a content, sensitive, happy spirited, yet fiesty little girl!
She would much rather play with her brothers cars or trains then her cute baby toys.
Everything goes straight to her mouth! No teeth yet, her gums aren't even swollen so who knows how long it will be before she gets teeth. I love her gummy smile and that it's still safe to put my finger in her mouth to gnaw on without getting punctured by those sharp baby teeth!
Oh Leah girl, you are loved and cherished!
Happy half a year old!
